The Trabuco Hills High School Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit is the defending 2005 Western Band Association Marching Band Championships Class AAAA Champions and will look to defend their title this year. The Marching Unit is under the direction of Dr. Howard Stephens and Russell Moreau, with assitance from Quincy Nguyen (Visual Caption Head), Robert Bowen (Percussion Caption Head), Don Gallaher (Color Guard Caption Head), Charlie Groh, Myles Yates, Brandon Minnick, Rich Gordon, Erin Escobar, Edgar Santana, Patrick Sullivan and Jenny Manio.

     Here is a list historical repertoires of the Marching Unit since 1992, the first year that Dr. Howard Stephens was director of the music program. Also available are the major accomplishments by the Marching Unit, which is located in the Trabuco Hills High School Instrumental Music Program Resume: 1992-2007.

     In the Fall of 2006, the Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit will once again compete in Class AAAA of the Western Band Association (WBA) circuit as well as in the Open Class at a couple of independent tournaments.

     The title of the Fall 2006 show is entitled Luminosity. This year's musical selection is Luminosity by Key Poulan. The composition is comprised of Movement I: Edison's Menlo Park Workshop, Movement II: Persistence and Reflection and Movement III: Lighting the World.

     Reheasals are typically Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:15pm until 5:30pm. As in the past years, this will be a very exciting year for both the students and the staff. Come out and support the students at all of their exhibition and competitive performances listed below ~ you will not be disappointed!!!
