2011 Trabuco Hills High School Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit

     The Trabuco Hills High School Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit was the 2010 Western Band Association Marching Band Championships Class AAAA Runner-Up. The Marching Unit is under the direction of Dr. Howard Stephens and Russell Moreau, with assistance from Quincy Nguyen (Visual Caption Head), Robert Bowen (Percussion Caption Head), Don Gallaher (Color Guard Caption Head), Charlie Groh, Rudy Arzaga, Edgar Santana, Jenny Manio, Jason Pasqual and Rudy Arevalos.

     Here is a list historical repertoires of the Marching Unit since 1992, the first year that Dr. Howard Stephens was director of the music program. Also available are the major accomplishments by the Marching Unit, which is located in the Trabuco Hills High School Instrumental Music Program Resume: 1992-2012.

     In the Fall of 2009, the Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit will once again compete in Class AAAA of the Western Band Association (WBA) circuit, Onyx Class in the Marching Band Open Series (MBOS) - Winter Guard Association of Southern California (WGASC) circuit, and also in Class 4A in the Southern California School Band & Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) circuit.

     The title of the Fall 2011 show is Phobias, featuring music by Key Poulan and Danny Elfman.

     Rehearsals are typically Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:15pm until 5:30pm in the month of September. For October and November, rehearsals are typically Tuesday from 3:15pm until 5:30pm and Thursdays from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. As in the past years, this will be a very exciting year for both the students and the staff. Come out and support the students at all of their exhibition and competitive performances listed below ~ you will not be disappointed!!!
