ANDY JULIAN

For the 2018-2019 school year, Andy Julian will be in his 5th year as the Instrumental Music Director at Trabuco Hills High School. An Orange County native, Andy Julian is in an alumnus of Mater Dei High School (1996); the University of California, Los Angeles (B.A. Music, 2001), and California State University, Long Beach (Teaching Credential, 2005). Currently Andrew is pursuing his master’s degree in conducting at the American Band College through Sam Houston State University. Andrew has been teaching instrumental music since 1997. In his fifth year as Instrumental Music Director at Trabuco Hills High School, Andy oversees all instrumental music: the award-winning Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit, Percussion Ensemble, Color Guard, and conducts the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensembles, String Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra. In 2007, Andrew was nominated for the distinguished Orange County Department of Education’s Art Teacher of the Year Award. Andrew lives in Mission Viejo and cherishes spending every available moment with his lovely wife Karen and his vivacious six-year-old daughter Abigail and newborn child Henry.
