QUINCY NGUYEN

The 2019-2020 school year will be Quincy Nguyen's 24th year as the Visual Caption Head for the Marching Unit. He started at Trabuco Hills in the Fall of 1996. This year will mark Quincy's 28th year of involvement with the Trabuco Hills High School Instrumental Music Program. Charlie Groh joined in the Fall of 2000 and doubled the size of the Visual Staff. Myles Yates and Jerome Sicat became Marching Technicians in the Fall of 2002 and once again doubled the size of the Visual Staff. Brandon Minnick joined the Visual Staff in the Fall of 2005 to replace Jerome Sicat. Josh Pier joined the Visual Staff in the Fall of 2014 through Fall 2016. Matt Menaged joined the Visual Staff in Fall 2017. Johnny Jagerman joing the Visual Staff in Fall 2018. Quincy was also a Marching Instructor at El Toro High School during the Fall of 2001.

 

Quincy worked at Fieldstone Communities, Inc. in Irvine, California from January 1997 until August 2008. He has worked in the Information Technology department for the 8 years and left as the Information Technology Project Manager. Afterwards, he worked as a contract Program Manager / Project Manager for Randstad Techologies, where he has at for over five years. In June 2014, Quincy started a new position as the Vice President, Business Operations for Forebrain Technologies, Inc., where he is still employed at today.

 

Quincy was a student in the Trabuco Hills High School Instrumental Music Program class in the Fall of 1992.  He played Clarinet in his fours years in high school and was the section leader in 1995-1996.  He also played Tuba in the Spring of 1994.  After graduating high school, Quincy was invited back to be a Marching Instructor.

 

In June 2004, Quincy graduated from the Graduate School of Management (GSM) at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree with an emphasis in Information Technology.

 

Quincy attended the University of California, Irvine (UCI) from 1996-2000 and graduated as Cum Laude on June 17, 2000 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biological Sciences and a Minor in Management.  He was a Golden Key National Honor Society Member and on the Dean's Honor List for 6 quarters.


Not only did he teach, he also enjoyed performing. He was a Bass Clarinetist for the Saddleback College Wind Ensemble (1997-2002), Saddleback College Symphonic Wind Ensemble (1999-2002) and Saddleback College Symphonic Orchestra (2000-2002).


Quincy was a Marching Instructor for the Impulse Drum & Bugle Corps (2000-2001) and a United States Soccer Federation (U.S.S.F.) State Certified Soccer Official (1993-2001).


Quincy was the Webmaster for the Trabuco Hills High School Instrumental Music Program website from 2000-2004 and he has once again assumed the role starting in 2006. He is currently the webmaster for the website. This will also be Quincy's seventeenth consecutive year as the Tournament Director for our annual Tournament in the Hills (TITH).
