PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE
The Trabuco Hills High School Percussion Ensemble is the 2021 Winter Guard Association of Southern California Virtual Percussion / IPA Championships Percussion Scholastic A (PSA) Gold Medalist. The Percussion Ensemble is under the direction of Robert Bowen (Caption Head), with assistance from James Catherall, Donovan Alanes, and Deanna Stockwell.
The major accomplishments of the Trabuco Hills High School Percussion Ensemble are listed in the Trabuco Hills High School Instrumental Music Program Resume: 1992-2022.
During the fall season, the Percussion Ensemble is part of the Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit. As such, these members are required to attend all marching unit events. During the fall season, rehearsals are typically Mondays from 1:15pm until 4:15pm, Tuesdays from 2:15pm until 5:00pm, Thursdays from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, Fridays from 2:15pm until 5:00pm and Saturdays at varying times.
In the winter season, the Percussion Ensemble will compete in the Percussion Scholastic A (PSA) class in the Southern California Percussion Alliance (SCPA) circuit. During the winter season, rehearsals are typically Mondays from 1:15pm until 4:15pm, Wednesdays from 2:30pm until 5:00pm. The title of the Winter 2022 show is Resurrection.
