INTRODUCTION

Trabuco Hills High School, a member of the Saddleback Valley Unified School District (SVUSD), is located in Mission Viejo, California. The instrumental music program boasts locally, regionally and nationally recognized competing units such as the Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit, Color Guard, Percussion Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, String Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble and Pep Band. In 2001, Trabuco Hills High School was recognized as one of the four schools in the state to receive the California Distinguished School of Fine Arts award.

 

For the 2025-2026 school year, the Trabuco Hills High School Instrumental Music Program will be the proud host to one of the largest Western Band Association (WBA) circuit show in Southern California. The year's show is unique as it will also be the date of the WBA Regional Championships for Southern California. The 2025 WBA Regional Championships & 33rd Annual Tournament in the Hills will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025. This tournament is the LARGEST single-day fundraiser for the entire instrumental music program. Consequently, we require that EVERY PARENT involved in any aspect of the instrumental music program (band, guard, orchestra and jazz ensemble) to volunteer in one way or another!!!

 

Bingo, held every Thursday night in the THHS Multipurpose Room and run exclusively by the music boosters is, along with Tournament in the Hills, a MAJOR fundraiser. Volunteering or playing is a great way to help the program, meet other boosters, and have a lot of fun.
